Warren Holland Medal Presentation
First my apologies for having a few gaps in the movie but I was very intently listening and missed restarting immediately after maximum file size had been reached. There are 5 videos in the folder and they are in order, because of the length of time it has to be broken up. If you have any problem playing these videos, I recommend a free open source download of VLC media player. It has played every type video I have tried and it is free. This is a medal presentation of medals awarded to Warren Holland for his service during World War II including service on Iwo Jima. The medals, including the Bronze Star, were presented to Jan Adam, Warren's daughter, by Lt Colonel Steve Gray at Cycle & Marine Supercenter on June 3, 2014. Warren had not told any of the family that he had been awarded the medals and it was only discovered after he had passed and his DD214 was found which noted the awards. Thanks to Senator Boozman for finding the records and starting the proceedings. The presentation by Col Gray was quite moving and brought the audience from World War I through World War II, the Korean War, Viet Nam and current day terrorism. I wish every child in school could see a presentation like this, it contained history that most people don't know and is not being currently taught. Thank you Senator Boozman and Lt Colonel Gray for your assistance.
